Right In Two

Well, the inadequacies of Talk Talk continue unabated, but nonetheless here I am! I’ve been watching BBC News 24 being piped in on mute at work, and was quite shocked by the events at Stormont this afternoon, although it looked far more serious due to the manic cameraman being shunted all over the place by security. For God’s sake man, you’re the BBC, don’t take any shit off them, stride past them to your rightful place front and centre in the action!
Also, quite amused by the Russians’ continued exasperations that they had no part in the death of their former spy. It’s roughly akin to Bart Simpson’s ‘I didn’t do it’ sketch, as though shrugging their shoulders and employing charm will deflect away from the truth of the matter. As for their claim that the poisoning was the result of some London based Russian gangsters, I think you’ll find that the Russian gangs wont go to particularly elaborate or expensive lengths to get rid of an enemy. They’ll just shoot them and dump the body somewhere.
Anyway, enough of the world. Tomorrow I jet (well, train) off up north to go and see the winning combination of Tool and Mastodon in Glasgow. I’ve seen them both at festivals this year, but indoor gigs are always so much better, and besides, I wont be quite as, um, herbally intoxicated for Tool this time. But both bands are phenomenal live, so it should be most enjoyable.
Until next time, sports fans.
